Amon, leader of the non-bending Equalists and antagonist of the series. He's, in fact, played by voice veteran and heartthrob Steve Blum!

VA: Steve Blum is just ... everywhere. I remember in The Adventures of Voice Acting he said that it's difficult to get work even when you're a professional and I was like, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN? YOU'RE EVERY VIDEO GAME/ANIME VILLAIN EVER." Not that I'm complaining; the man is amazing.
Character: Holy crap, is this guy genuinely creepy or what? I don't know what his shtick is exactly, but it looks as if he can render a bender unable to bend. Is that it? I mean, Ty Lee was able to chi block but Amon looks like he's able to do something a little more permanent.

The most recent trailer looks absolutely thrilling! It would seem as though he can energybend as Aang did to Ozai, but how would that even be possible for someone who cannot bend, let alone not be the Avatar? The next few episodes cannot come soon enough!

I'm also wondering about his ability to engerybend. But it just doesn't click. He's suppose to be against any form of bending. I like to say that he's a very good brainswasher and is making the people believe that they can no longer bend.

How is Amon able to withstand bloodbedning?! I wonder how Korra is going to bring him down.

How is Amon able to withstand bloodbedning?! My jaw practically unhinged at that bit. Because he so easily withstood it, I feel as though he's been against a bloodbender before.

I had a theory about that, actually. Since he is able to take away a person's bending, perhaps he is also able to internalize the anti-bending effect? Also, after this latest episode, I'm starting to believe he's not actually the villain of this series; he just poses as one. The reason I'm thinking this is because I thought back to all the times Korra had those visions. The visions were trying to warn her about Tarrlok, yet they popped up whenever Amon was around. Well, come to think of it, she was also about to lose consciousness when she had those visions...so I could just be throwing around bread crumbs and hoping the birds are hungry. ^^;

Well know we know that Amon/Noatak wasn't completely evil. Mentally unstable but not completely evil. With just the finale i he has become one of my favorite villains.

Did anyone else think he was immensely attractive?Honestly, this is the best character they've crafted for this series. Amon shows that before he's a villain, he's a human being. Beautiful conclusion to a story arc. His/Tarrlok's ending was the only thing I really liked out of the finale. Also:

So now what that the main villain is dead?
I thought Amon would be middle-aged based on his voice and his experience in bending. Boy was I wrong.

Well, according to Bryke, every season will feature a new villain. Out with Amon, in with...whoever's next. XD

So do people know Amon is dead? For all Korra knows, he's still a highly dangerous bloodbender on the loose.

On the Avatar Wiki, it's cited that both Amon and Tarrlok are dead. I think Bryke also confirmed it at Comic Con, too.

But do the people in the show know that? It's not known if anyone witnessed the explosion.

Ooooooh, touche. Mmmm, unfortunately, I doubt they'll ever bring that up again. I hate when television shows dismiss the other characters' awareness of prior characters and arcs.
